Only ones I can find are frumpy, with slogans, busy prints and fall to bits.

I tend to buy from next. Each season they have a couple of pairs that are fairly plain, classic looking. I’m 52, and detest fluffy / teddy / slogan pjs.

As a pp stated, the Primark brushed cotton pjs shrink so buy a bigger size.

@DupontsYellowDressingGown Gap are still around, just online only in the UK.

@tobee there are loads of pyjamas available. This thread proves just how many retailers sell them. There are plenty which are not cutsie, etc.

Yes I agree but you have to plough through a lot of dross imo. My usual go to websites etc let me down.

Those are really nice.

I think, because that retailers want you to see loads of possibilities on the way, filters never let you input what you don't want. Just what you do. So you can't put in eg I don't want maternity or whatever.

I just looked at Next app for eg and I get 1537 results for women's pyjamas. Obviously you can put in filters for what you do want.

Just looked further at these and they are not cotton sadly.

(I'm aware you can often put in a material filter)

I have some from Toast and And/or from JL.
The Toast ones are plain and the And/or is a bright print but in a good way.

tobee · 31/10/2023 15:15

Again these are not cotton as op was after.

AnnaMagnani · 31/10/2023 15:17

Bonsoir - in the sale.

My brushed cottons sets from them are still going strong after 20 years.

Daffyyellow · 31/10/2023 15:33

Landsend. Log in / create and account. Put things in your basket but don’t check out, prices usually drop within a couple of days or a discount code is emailed.

Oh that's interesting

Yerroblemom1923 · 31/10/2023 17:05

Their Nibs do a lovely range of 100% cotton in a range of patterns from pretty floral to animal prints. Good quality and affordable.

zazasabore · 31/10/2023 17:13

David Neiper nightwear is very well made and virtually indestructible - I have only ever bought their nighties though. Pricey but they have literally lasted years.

Hbh17 · 04/11/2023 18:24

Cyberjammies. Nice soft, plain, long-sleeved tops and plain (or maybe checked) bottoms.
No cutesy animals, hearts, glitter or effing stars.... thank the Lord!

Mountaindhew · 04/11/2023 18:26

Not sure if anyone has said Landsend yet? Also really rare Sainsburys.

Kats43 · 04/11/2023 18:29

Same here, was looking for just a pair of plain cotton pjs or nighties but they all seem to cost a fortune, all the reasonably priced ones have awful patterns or slogans on or not made of cotton

Attictroll · 04/11/2023 18:32

I've ended up with Tu and Primark...lasting longer than anything from John Lewis or M&S.

I choose bottoms then buy or use older t-shirts...although have a set or two.

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 30/10/2023 06:20

Cyberjammies is my go to place for pyjamas. But they are a bit pricier

Same. Usually buy in the sale at John Lewis. Nice quality and wash well.

anonibubble · 04/11/2023 20:47

I’ve had the same problem. I get hot at night and didn’t want jersey or brushed cotton, logos, cartoons or anything frilly or frumpy.
M&S and John Lewis are rubbish, I want pure cotton and they had nothing, though I could find PJ trousers there were no thinner matching tops.
I’ve looked everywhere and couldn’t find a thing, even in very expensive online ranges. In the end I bought pure cotton knee length nighties from Zara but they’re only a stopgap.
I had the same problem last time and eventually found some House of Fraser own brand - I bought all they had but that was 10 years ago and they’ve literally fallen apart.
I did find some last year but have found the fabric too stiff. Will try to find the name and post it for you.

Jigsaw

17CherryTreeLane · 04/11/2023 20:54

Agree with pps that Cyberjammies are fantastic!
