Outfit for a 50th birthday bash!

I'm going to a 50th birthday party at the end of next month, and I've no idea what to wear.

My daily life is with the children, so dressed up and glam isn't my style at all at the moment. I've not seen a lot of the people who will be there for nearly 5 years, so I'd like to look good, and feel confident, as I'm going solo.

I'll have just turned 41, I have good legs, bum and boobs but after 5 children my stomach is still a bit wobbly, though I'm working on it. I'm a size 12 and 5ft 4in.
What can I wear that could show off my good bits, but hide the parts I'm not so keen on?

Can you say how much you want to spend?

New or pre-owned or rented?

Happy to shop online or want people to tell you what’s available on your local High St?

And what does dressed up and glam mean to you (if that is the dress code)?

What colours do you suit best? Like sparkle? Classic? Etc

What kind of party? Is it 20 friends round to their house for drinks, a private room in a pub with music and dancing or something more up market than either? That would dictate my choices of what to wear.

I don't have a budget, I wouldn't want to spend multiple £100's but I'm willing to spend.

I'm happy with either new or 2nd hand.

Online is easier as the nearest high street is an hour away.

So generally I'm in jeans and a top/jumper. I went to the theatre last week and wore faux leather leggings and a blouse with accessories, and that's about as 'dressed up' as I've been in a good many years.

I think it also depends on what kind of party it is? Where- hall, house, restaurant?
