Blonde or brunette?

I've recently gone dark as my hair was quite damaged, but I'm not sure I like it.
Which do you think looks better? Thank you.

Brunette makes it look healthier.

I like the blonde, but that might be because it's wavy.

pizzaHeart · 29/10/2023 14:06

Dark looks a bit more interesting. The question is does it suit you? I mean considering your skin and eye colour.

I love brunette hair but I like the blonde. I think it’s because of the style as well though. My dream hair on you would be the blonde style with the brunette colour with a wee bit of ashy caramel (I know that a contradiction, I mean cool ash hit caramel level colour) highlights through the mid to bottom

posylire · 29/10/2023 14:23

The ends look more damaged with the brown, the wavy blonde may have hidden these more, but it looks healthier overall . It also looks harsher because it may have been straightened.

So I prefer the blonde for those reasons

I like them both in abstract but is hard without seeing the rest of your colouring. Comparing wavy with straight is also a bit tricky, they have different vibes. What colours you wear also affect things, for example not sure the top you have on in the first photo would go as well with the brunette.

I think brunette generally is better in winter and blonde in summer.

Thanks all.. you can kind of see my skin tone in the pics, it's light olive ish and my eyes are brown. It is more damaged as I had to get it done twice.. a hairdresser didn't listen to what I wanted and bleached the life out of my ends and did a weird dark dip dye nothing like what I asked for!!

So think I'm going to have to condition it a lot over the next few months and then maybe add more highlights when we get into spring.

I'm tempted to just go back to box dyes as I can't find a good hairdresser!!

Can anyone recommend any good hair repair treatments?

Brunette

anybloodyname · 29/10/2023 14:54

I like both , brown looks sleeker and healthier but I do like the scrunch beach wave blond look too

Enjoy the darker through the winter then see if you feel like brightening up as spring comes around ?

Your hair is lovely 😊

Elasticizer might help with hair repair.

I think they're both nice though and I'd like to see what the brown colour is like wavy, and I think you'd suit it longer if you were planning to let it grow.

DustyLee123 · 29/10/2023 15:05

Brunette looks healthier

SM4713 · 29/10/2023 15:19

What is your natural colour? I assume dark, so I'd go with that rather than bleaching the life out of it. IF you get dark re-growth, then defiantly go darker.

OnLockdown · 29/10/2023 15:31

I like the dark colour but with the waves of the blonde look.

rockingrobin88 · 29/10/2023 15:34

@OnLockdown this is my natural colour (probably with a few more greys as this was 18 months ago)
