I have a couple of weddings next year and already scouting… I’ve found this second hand which I really like, but it’s a lot more “scarlet red” than it looks in these photos (obviously not with trainers ha!) Is red a no-no?

Lovely

although there a daft poster out there who always comes on and says that it’s not appropriate because not wedding etiquette

ignore her!

Red is only a no no on mumsnet. In real life no-one would bat an eyelid.

I wore a red dress to a recent wedding - the only downside was one photo in church which would have been perfect, but for the red dress in the background! Any pro photographer will know how to tone it down if that happens, which is what my sil (bride's mother) did after I suggested it.

Beautiful dress! I’ve never heard of red being inappropriate for a wedding but I have found it’s difficult to photograph accurately which would be my only reason for avoiding it.
