The perfect gloves!

I've got small fat hands with added arthritis on all my joints. I really need to wear gloves when it gets cold because of the arthritis, but I struggle to find anything moderately stylish and practical. I can't wear leather gloves at all, as any that fit me length-wise, won't fit me width-wise. Can't wear anything too tight as it hurts getting them over my swollen knuckles. On the other hand, gloves that are loose and bulky make my already clumsy fingers even worse, so I keep having to take them on and off all the time, and then one gets lost. That basically leaves me with wool gloves or thin fleecy ones. And, I neither want anything too twee or too outdoorsy. I had a perfect pair of thin fleecy ones, but one of them has gone missing over the summer, and they came from Monoprix in France anyway! Has anyone seen anything stylish, or has any other brilliant thoughts??

No specific suggestion but if you’re going to find the perfect gloves anywhere, it’ll probably be here:

Have you tried gardening gloves? I find them quite warm, flexible and usually grippy

Have a look at these

www.turtle-doves.co.uk/womens/classic-fingerless-gloves

I read about them on mn and bought them for dm for Xmas one year who also has arthritis. She loves them. Last year we bought them for all the grans and aunties for Xmas and they were a huge hit.

I'm ordering a second pair. If yog sign up to the emails they send offers all the time I've never paid more than £25.

I was thinking the design would be much easier for you to get them over your knuckles xx

Mittens? I have raynauds so normal gloves are useless and make things worse.

I have some fleece mittens for autumn and spring and ugg sheepskin Mittens for dog walking and winter + driving.

Those turtle dove ones are great,I have two pairs to use in the office, but they do leave you with very cold fingers!

Ooh, the hestra gloves website is BRILLIANT. I do have some turtle dove fingerless gloves and they're great until it gets too chilly. I also have some mittens, but find them a bit clumsy.

Second for Hestra - mines are still going strong many winters later and keep my problematic paws warm!

My hands are the same, I wear black cycling gloves with liners, they are stretchy and warm, with the added bonus of having grips on the palms for driving.
They just look like plain black gloves.
