Hey!

this May sound silly but I’ve just in the last week or two started to find the odd grey/ white hairs.

I was so convinced I wouldn’t go grey young as both my parents went grey in their 50s!!!

I had a stressful year and have done 2 rounds of ivf. I don’t know why it’s made me feel so rubbish!

anyone know how long I’ve got until I’m white 😭

I had a few grey hairs in my early 30s. I'm in my 60s now and I'm nowhere near going white. My mum was the same, she's in her late 80s and still has some dark hairs, though mostly white now.

I should have added, I like my greying hair, it adds character, and is a lot less boring than the mousey brown hair I had before.

I had a few grey hairs at your age. I’m 50 now and still only have a few grey hairs - though a lot more than I did. I have light brown hair and it still looks light brown, rather than greying. The hair at my temples is greyest, but I still tie my hair up without it looking particularly grey.
If you're very dark haired then they’ll be more noticeable, but if you’re like me you’ll be fine for another 20+ years.
(I had 9 rounds of IVF and my hair’s still fine!)

I remember writing a post on MN as I got grey hair at 31, now 35 and everyone tried to make out like I was being silly for being upset but what woman wants to go grey in their early 30s?! It means Years of dying hair and I’m yet to meet any woman embracing their greys in their 30s I’m also allergic to hair dye so added stress but I won’t be embracing them and only seen that attitude on MN

I started going gray at 22 and got to the stage where I needed to dye aged 28. 36 now and I need to dye every two weeks as I am totally white. I would grow it out but it looks unkempt if it’s not all one colour.
