Hair help

49, light brown/grey (haven't dyed for years but grey so slow). Lots of fine hair, chin length bluntish bob. I am quite fat and far from stylish but like plain but colourful clothes and simple shapes.

Am shit at styling hair. Really bad. It's very flicky and triangular.

Saw a photo last week and it looked properly horrible. Straggly, style-less and aging. I have a cows lick at the front which means it sits badly and is hard to tame.

I have a fairly senior role at work and it just never looks polished.

I will take any ideas - I won't go properly short as dh doesn't like it (I don't like him with a beard so fairs fair) but anything else.

I’m not sure what to advise as you already have short hair, it’s only chin length? So maybe a pic with your face blurred out? Then a good conditioner and maybe a colour?

A good cut and a Brazilian blow dry should keep it looking sleek and neat for about 3 months at a time.

Alternatively, my Dsis who had hard to manage hair used to have a professional blow dry once a week and just ran some straighteners over it in between times. I don’t think she ever washed her own hair from the age for about 30 years!
