Boots for very Cold weather walking

Heading to Krakow Christmas Market and trying to figure out shoes. We are likely to be walking a fair bit and it will be cold

I got rid of my gorgeous Dr martens this year because they were starting to look shabby and and the heel was unevenly worn (because I walk rubbishly) am now of course regretting it.

I have a choice to get a the same Dr Martins again but I worry about reports of deterioration in quality since I originally bought them

To pick up some cheaper boots in a larger size so I have put in insoles and warm socks
. Maybe also to pick up some

To stick with my plain black walking boots.

Pick up a cheap pair of snow boots in the trespass sale. But last time I had snow boots I didn't find them particularly easy to walk in.

Help!!

(Mumsnet is not letting me post links hang on)

Sorel, decathlon winter walking boots or apres ski boots.

Sorel are fab and waterproof too. I've never had cold feet in them when walking to do in winter. They often go for reasonable money on amazon. You can set up a price watch on camel camel camel too.

I’ve got the Artic Muck boots in the shorter length - they’re not v stylish but if you’re looking for toasty warm feet these are the DBs

Don't really want to spend a fortune on snow boots. I know I'll wear the Dr martens a lot in the uk, possibly even at work, so happier to spend money on them.

Gotto be honest There not different enough from my walking boots to be worth spending on. I'd just get a a warmer pair of socks!!!

I suppose the question is does it have to be snow boots for the tread?

Wouldn't want to go more expensive than £50 for snow boots.

If you can get to a Dr Marten outlet they will likely have the Made In England fur lined ones which are warm. The Vondas won't be as warm, and also fur lined are more comfortable from the off.
