Party dress for 19yo

Need help here. Please?

DD is 19, 5ft, curvy size 10.
Not into makeup and fashion, works with animals.
Usually wears jeans and a long sleeved top.
Doesn't really look her age due to size and lack of makeup / polish / jewelry.
Not a club / disco / loud places kind of person.

Would like to help her find her a dress (or jumpsuit?) for christmas parties / family get togethers. Something to feel more stylish / grown up / attractive in.

Likes black, also looks good in jewel colours especially red or purple.

Any suggestions as to where to look or what kind of thing to look for?
I'm clueless.

ASOS is a good bet, she can narrow it down by colour or length etc and they have so many options from different brands.

@Thesearmsofmine I will look, thank you.

@LJayne97 The styling and colour are good, but would definitely need a 'petite' for that kind of thing, as otherwise the body will be too long above the waist.

She only has a 26'' inside leg.

Silk Fred seem to be good for jumpsuits, which she might find more comfortable if she's otherwise a jeans and T-shirts woman.

@LJayne97 never heard of PixieGirl before - I think DD would like that dress. Thank you. I'll look at their other stuff too.

Thank you. Look nice, ( though why they have a 5ft6 model modelling petite clothes is somewhat beyond me, as it rather implies they'll be way too long for my 5ft DD!)

I'm going to show DD the PixieGirl dress, and also a jumpsuit from the same site (who helpfully use 5ft3 models in petite) and see what she says.

I think she'll want short not long for a dress.

Gobsmacked that anyone would be suggesting Phase Eight for a 19 year old!
