i need a new wallet/purse. i have needed one for aaaaages. but i am a picky git when it comes to accessories and i can't be doing with clasps that spring open, zips that get stuck etc etc... can anyone help?

I loooove Orla Kiely's designs but the quality is not what it was and the price has gone through the roof. Not a good combination IMO. If you ever see an older style of bag or purse on ebay, snap it up. A used one that came out 3+ years ago will probably last better than a new one.

As for purse/wallet suggestions, I've had loads. If money no object go LV or Anya Hindmarch.
Myself I am doomed to be disorganised and carry my cards around in an old Orla Kiely credit card holder and tuck notes inside it. Change just goes in whatever pocket of my bag is handy.

Hm, not loving the ponyskin (can go bald - not a good look) but it is a good price and I love the imprinted leather detail. Plus it will be easy to find in a crowded handbag

To see how much people cover older, better made Orlas, look at item 270217447096 on ebay. Its pretty scruffy but its still v popular. I'd buy it.

Lol at "she's not daft" , yes, the stitching is bad, the fabric is cheap, the oilcloth inferior... Such a disappointment compared to how they used to be. I am still carrying an ancient raspberry print one with worn corners that I bought from ebay about four years ago. It just feels so much more solid.
