Does anyone have these Dr Martens?

And if so, can you measure the width for me, either the sole width or internal width. I think I’m about 7ish so if you are about that size, all the better.

No, but I love them.

i feel like I'd be embracing my inner child & they wouldn't go with my wardrobe (leggings & oversized tops, so I'd need to buy clothes too.

hope you get the answer you're looking for!

or can you just order them & return them
if they're not a good fit, unless they're a Christmas present I suppose, but you could measure them at least?!

GoingToBeLessRubbishAtLife · 21/10/2023 15:15

@DaftQuestionForToday I do actually have them in my basket, along with the single strap ones (but I much prefer the double) but those two in two different sizes is going to batter my credit card. The best thing is to go and try them on in person but I’ll have to make an effort to go to a specific shop, and I’m all about looking for the easy way!

I love these. Have been putting them in and out my basket too and looking for similar alternatives.

I really love these Mary Janes and they might just be a Christmas present to me - if they're at a reduced price. 🌹

order yourself a foot guage first then keep it in the drawer for future use!

ZoChan · 21/10/2023 15:48

I am six and a half and in the DM boots I wear a size six. The returns are very easy on doc martens website though.

GoingToBeLessRubbishAtLife · 21/10/2023 16:38

@2jacqi and @ZoChan its the width I’m curious about. The size guide for ladies shoes does not have the width like the unisex shoes do.

Can't help you with measurements as i own the single strap ones not double. If they're similar - they're quite wide fitting, I have wide feet and they're very comfortable in toe area. But the wearing in is brutal, they shredded my heels, repeatedly.

Ooh you couldn’t do a width measurement could you, if you have a tape measure handy? I love the double strap ones, but more than that I love comfortable shoes. I’m ready to put up with the initial shredding! It’s just the external width, if you stand on the tape measure. Then I can compare with some other shoes I have.

No worries if not, I know not everyone has a measurement thing handy!

I have these shoes, I think they run half a size too small. The toe box is slimmer than the unisex boots, I've had to use a shoe stretcher on mine but my toes are right at the end of the shoe however they fit better now. I broke them in fine though with no blisters- I did have to put effort into it, manually working the leather, thick socks etc. I am a size 8/42- I bought this size and I think they run small, I do have big feet though.

However, I bloody love them.

How wide are they compared to the unisex laced up shoes?

I'm not sure as I don't have them but I think they are slimmer. I personally think they are the same as women's Pascal lace up boots or women's Chelsea boots if that helps? I've had to size up for a pair of Chelsea boots. If I were to buy them again- and I would, I would size up to. However my feet are a very definite size 42 and I like a decent amount of toe room.

Cinders22 · 21/10/2023 23:02

I have the single strap ones. The sole at the widest part is 11 cm and inside is approximately 9.5 cm.

I am usually a size 6.5 but my last 2 pairs I have bought a 7 and found them comfortable.

GoingToBeLessRubbishAtLife · 22/10/2023 04:40

Thank you for this @Cinders22 , I’ve got a pair that width so I’m feeling more like they might be okay for me actually.

if it helps, I tried these on yesterday and they were a bit wider than the lace ups. I need supportive work shoes and thought these would be cute, but they don’t fit the same way my boots do.

GoingToBeLessRubbishAtLife · 22/10/2023 10:57

@NeunundneunzigHorseBallonz wider than the women’s boots?

OP posts:
NeunundneunzigHorseBallonz · 22/10/2023 14:59

Wider than my Rometty ones. (I have very narrow feet) However, I intended to say that they seemed wider than the lace up shoes.

GoingToBeLessRubbishAtLife · 22/10/2023 15:36

Ok thanks, this is all sounding very positive.
