Selling cashmere

I've been doing a wardrobe clear out and have sent most of it to charity, but I have a couple of rarely worn cashmere sweaters I'd like to sell (just John Lewis, nothing higher end like Brora, Johnstons of Elgin, or designer). I used to sell the odd thing via eBay but the fees now are ridiculous, and I can't be bothered with the faff of FB marketplace or Gumtree when you hang around waiting for people to turn up at your home. I've never used Vinted but from what I've read, unless you sell a lot/regularly it can be a slow process and I'd prefer a quick simple sale. Is there anywhere else, ideally that buys secondhand cashmere direct?

There is Dpop but I haven’t used it. You could try local Facebook groups but people tend to want bargain-basement prices.

I’ve used Vinted to buy and sell and agree it is a slow process when selling, but I’ve just started using eBay again after a few years and they are withholding my money for about a week after a sale. I’m not sure why and I haven’t looked into it, so it may be a new thing or it’s because I haven’t sold in a long time.

Hi, not sure why vinted would be a slow process? If you price things right, then no reason why it won't sell.
I do have to say, that cashmere does sell ridiculously cheaply on vinted, which is great if you are buying but not so great if you are selling.

Thanks, that's interesting that you both have different views on speed of sales. The prices don't look much different to eBay to me. But I'm put off by them hanging around - once I decide to declutter I just want everything gone. Might put these up for a week and see how it goes.

Vinted - some stuff goes v quickly, some takes a while.

Do post a link here, I'm in the market for second-hand cashmere!

I sell mine on eBay for £20-30.
I just can't be bothered with Vinted as the rules are different to eBay.

Vinted isn't slow if you're selling at a reasonable price.
