How do I use strobe cream?

Hi ladies, just looking for some help please. I received a MAC gift set with little miniatures and one of them was a Strobe Cream.
I’ve never heard of it before and google wasn’t much help so can anyone enlighten me… how do I use it? At which stage in the make up process and which areas would I apply it to?

I use it differently to that article. I do primer (Smashbox) then strobe cream on cheekbones, then foundation. So a bit like under-painting with contour. I used to teach a student who was a makeup junkie and who had a part time job with MAC, and that’s what she told me to do!
