Chanel Sycamore

I never realised how expensive this brand is as i tend to buy one of the cheaper ones and a bottle lasts me 2 years. I was in an airport recently and tried Sycamore and loved it, infortunately. We have budgets for presents in the family. If i pool mine then i can have this. Just posting hoping someone can talk me down from the idea. Problem is i don't need or want anything, but my goodness that's an eye watering amount to spend on perfume.

It is lovely though! They do a smaller (cheaper) 75ml bottle too, I think

I wear Chanel (Les Exclusifs) No22.
The price is eyewatering.
But I love it.
I only buy it if I'm feeling rich (rarely, but sometimes when I get a bonus) and from the airport so it's duty free.
Every time I wear it, I'm glad to have it.

Isn't it@Frieda12 ! I've spent 25 years or more in Coco, which i still love, and it feels like home, but Sycamore really caught my attention.

You can buy it online from John Lewis. They often have offers on fragrance so you might get 10-15% off coming up to Xmas or combine with JL gift card or vouchers if you have any.

I love Chanel fragrances. Coco is my favourite winter fragrance but my husband bought me Coromandel a few years back (also an Exclusif) and wow it’s stunning (and lasts forever).

Sorry, I love Sycomore! (Tom Daxon's Salvia Sclarea scratches a similar itch for me and is a bit cheaper esp. in 50ml)

I find Vetiverio by Diptyque very similar and slightly cheaper too.

👋 @clowniform !

Thanks @MooMinCow , that sounds like a deal worth waiting for!

I also adore Sycamore and your post has made me go look at the current prices. Oof!

A decade ago, the Exclusifs were £85 and ~£190 (for 75ml and 200ml respectively), iirc.

They've increased to £200 and £300. Niche perfumes do seem to have had eye-watering price increases.

That doesn't help you, sorry. It does make me want to hunt out boot sales and garage sales where sellers might not realise how much prices have changed, and buy up all their vintage perfumes!
