Will creams with no lid explode on a plane?

Apologies for this ridiculous question but I have 2 x face creams/moisturiser types and cannot find the lids anywhere. Flying tomorrow, what’s the chances of them leaking/exploding without their lids?

I assume you'll be putting them inside sandwich bags or similar? Are they going in the hold?

I think they're actually less likely to explode than if they had lids on'

I'm a bit puzzled why you can't find the lids, don't you put them back on when you've used the product to stop them getting contaminated/going off?

Yes inside a sandwhich bag type bag. They’re not that cheap that’s why I’m wondering whether to risk it

I guess I’ve just been lazy with the lid, they’re both tiny pumps and the lid went over it, rather than a screw top where the liquid oozes out if that makes sense

Oh and just hand luggage

Can you sellotape around the pump to stop it moving? I often lose lids and have done this before and it's worked ok

Although I think hand luggage they have to be sealed don’t they - never mind!
