M and S sequin trousers - shoe help!

Having sent my Bombshell jumpsuit back for being too short, am now planning to wear M and S navy sequin wide legged trousers (with either a cami and oversized jacket or off the shoulder jumper) for ds's family engagement party. I am 5'10 so flatter would be good. I'm also far from being waif like. By default I'd wear Converse though am aware they aren't necessarily my best option for this function unless I can find all black in sequins high tops!! Yes I am old enough to know better, It'll be luxe-ish informal. Any sensible not high heel but lovely options please? Not ballet flats as they'd be a bit ugly with wide trousers. Thanks!

What’s your budget?

Could you get away with something like this? (Lots of cheaper options available too)!

If not, a low heeled boot might be the best option for something that’s in between a high heel and a ballet flat.

What size are your feet?

I'm rubbish at links, but M&S have some Superga trainers in a silver glitter canvas. For an informal luxe vibe they'd look good with the sequin trousers.

I wear my Russell & Bromley Park Up's with mine, a bit smarter than converse. However, I'm only 5'5", so I need the platform sole.

Go with your converse! I love sequins but there's no way I'd wear them with anything other than a trainer/hi-top/flat form. Anything else automatically looks too try-hard (my brain is screaming 'mutton' but S&B have trained me out of ageist put-downs, but it's still there in me.)

Trainers of some type it is then! Thanks for the confirmation. I like the Air & Grace ones - have looked at links a few times. @LaviniasBigBloomers I'm with you on the try too hard thing. At my age mutton is not the look I'm going for 😂
