Leggings

I know that lots of people regard leggings as horribly old-fashioned, I however do not. I know that with the weather getting colder I'll want to get out my nice, cosy, non-see-through non sporty thick black leggings once again.

So if you despise leggings, feel free to ignore this thread.

But if you're a firm fan of leggings, what are you wearing with them? I used to wear a long thick shirt, or a long jumper or sweatshirt. There don't seem to be many of any of those around this year. Has anyone any recommendations? I'm a bit long in the tooth for all the cropped styles around at the moment!

I love my leggings, i live in them when I'm not at work :)
I usually wear mine with some sort of long top, tunic style top, jumper dress, sometimes just a dress that is short because I'm tall....
Summer i love mine with sandals or pumps.... now its colder i have my ankle and knee high boots out :)
I don't care if people say they are naff i love my leggings. I always buy really thick ones as admittedly i do find them tacky looking when they are slightly see through.... but yes i love them.
I usually buy a 2 pair pack from m and s, thick with a nice thick waist band.

I (along with my DDs, friends and family) are obsessed with leggings and it is what we wear mostly. Our everyday outfits in winter are hoodie/jumper and leggings

I wore my beloved Mint Velvet leggings today with a purple tunic, but I ended up hoiking the up all day and trying to smooth the wrinkles out. For various reasons I didn't wear than last year so I've obviously lost weight in the last two years.

To add insult to injury they've sold out of the size down.

I love leggings. They are my wardrobe staple.
I usually wear them with a long lined hoodie

I think they look great if you have a great figure .

I have mint velvet black ones and they look awesome but I'm nearly 50 and feel a bit under dressed in them but will wear them in the winter with a hoody and hi tops and a puffer for school etc .

Wear them with long black wellie type boots and a long jumper for a modern look. Wrap a cosy matching scarf and ready to go.

New look have loads of jumper dresses that go well with leggings or tights

Oh jumper dresses sound good, will check them out tomorrow. And yes to the long black boots, have seen them mentioned on a few threads now. Might see something in New Look's footwear section!
