Leather bag repairs and cleaning

Hi
Has anyone used a leather repair and cleaning service for handbags?

My Alexa is looking a little tired and im trying hard to buy better and look after things rather than buying new! So I'd really like to have it cleaned and possibly lightly repaired too.

The quotes I've had from the companies aimed at this were £300 and starting at £470 for the very basic service.

I bought the bag secondhand for a lot less than either of those ( I appreciate if I'd spent well over £1000 in the first place it may be a reasonable price!).

The only other option I'm finding is dry cleaners which say they do leather cleaning.

Has anyone had any experiences of having handbags cleaned?
Thanks

Have you checked with mulberry ? I think they offer this service too.

@PomRuns hi, yes, their repair page goes to one of the specific bag repair services which is too pricey for me!

You’d hope they’d be cheaper. That’s disappointing- I’ve a Bayswater that the corners are slightly scuffed so was thinking of checking but won’t bother now.

@PomRuns yes it's the corner scruffs I'd like repaired too!

I still love the bag, I'd just like it refreshed!

is it worth asking a cobbler ??

I asked in Mulberry a couple of weeks ago and was told they no longer offer cleaning, just repairs. I was a bit disappointed as I expected it to be like R&B who clean/polish your shoes FOC whilst they are in for repair,
