Skin break outs

I'm losing my mind over my skin breaking out. I'm 34 and I just feel like a teenager again!

I've not changed anything in my skincare routine - same make up remover, cleanser, moisturiser and SPF. Same make up. Cleaned and renewed makeup brushes and sponges. Washing bedding frequently. Nothing has changed but I've gone from having essentially clear skin for the last few years to regular breakouts on my chin and forehead.

Any suggestions or (inexpensive) products that might help?

Doctors appointment.

Yep, doctor for duac. Get them to check it’s not rosacea.

I managed to sort mine out recently with duac from the gp followed by a different antibiotic from skin and me (they thought it was rosacea). It’s been about 6 months now and it hasn’t come back.

What brands are you using?

If it's just localised breakouts rather than acne then a product with Salicylic can help. Rosacea is more likely to be around the nose and cheeks than forehead and chin, though it might be.

It's more localised breakouts and I don't really think they are worth a trip to the doctor's (yet, at least). They are more annoying than anything else after having years of relatively clear skin.

You've just reminded me that I stopped using salicylic acid before the summer. I ran out and just never restocked. I'm pretty sure the last time I had a bit of an annoying breakout it did the trick and kept my skin mostly clear so I think I'll be trying that again!

For my girls, early twenties:

A clean pillowcase every day
Hair off the face
A hot flannel on face 2-3 times a day
Vitamin C daily
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
