Comfy cord trousers like this...

Hi all,
I'm forever on the search for some trousers, not a fan of jeans. I really like these below but I've never heard of the website, worried about the quality, you have to pay returns and the sizing is awkward for me (they come in 4-6 or 8-10...I'm 6-8).
I basically want something similar, not really tight and fitted but I don't want them overly baggy. Some of the trousers I've seen in this style (Toast, Cos) look overly baggy and I'm quite petite.

Any suggestions please? Budget wise I'm fairly open. Thank you.

I'm not generally a Marks and Spencer clothes fan but these were recommended on Mumsnet and I got these two pairs. The first pair are the least baggy. The material feels good and they are comfy to me.

The M and S ones are great, and I also saw some on Muji.

I'm wearing the White Stuff version of the M and S ones and I'd avoid them as they're really baggy,not sure how I feel about them yet!

I got last years version of these from vinted in a dark green (prefer the colour) I think they are what you’re looking for. Happy with the cut. I also found a lovely pair from Topshop in a charity shop which were sadly slightly too tight but I’ve seen the same pair lots on vinted and depop. I had to search far and wide for the right shape!

I got men's ones from M&S last year, went a size up from my waist size and they are a nice fit, plenty of room on the legs.

Just to say, OP, I ordered once from halara, and the quality and sizing was terrible! The only upside was when I tried to return they just gave me a full refund and didn't want the stuff back (it went to the charity shop). I also like those cords but know to avoid the shop. I've just ordered some wide leg ones from Bon Prix which haven't arrived yet so can't comment on quality but they had a few styles. I also saw some gorgeous ones in Oliver Bonas (but too high waisted for me) maybe check them out.

Conversely, I bought a dress from Halara and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality. It was one of their 'sports dress' type things, and was a much better fit and quality than I have bought from big sportswear brands (Nike, Asics, Sweaty Betty etc) at five times the price.

I got these recently from Sainsbury’s. I had tried on the M and S ones, and they weren’t right for me. I wasn’t expecting much at that price and I love them; I’ve brought two pairs now in the grey and khaki. I’m wearing them slightly rolled up with DMs. Pics don’t do them justice.

Definitely Uniqlo! I also looked at those one but decided against it as didn’t know the brand. The Uniqlo ones are perfect, elasticated waste, really comfy and look good.

The OP's cords are not high rise they are below the belly button so mid rise.

I love them, good luck finding anything with a waist that doesn't make us look like we are wearing a giant nappy!

I saw these pop up on an add and thought they looked very similar to the M&S ones but cheaper alternative. Are they tapered enough at the bottom? I can’t do a straight leg look unless it’s a wide leg crop.

They don’t taper much but more when I roll them up. Worth a try!
