Perfume that smells of roses.

Can anyone recommend a rose smelling fragrance. I've had a lovely one from Harris and Miller but it doesn't last on me!

Paul Smith Rose. Randomly I'm wearing it today and haven't done so for months.

It's beautify and very much the scent of Rose

If anyone wants a cheapo spray Escentuals Peony is lovely and lasts quite well

I like both Jo Malone Rose perfumes (Red roses and Velvet Rose & Oud)

I hate Penhaligons's Elizabethan Rose, which doesn't smell rose-like to me at all

Well my mum liked the Body Shop Rose scent & hand lotion, roses now remind me of her which is a good thing.

@nothingeverhappensinstmarymead I have a few perfumes that I love but none of them are similar to Eau Capitale really.

I love quite a few Tom Ford scents especially Santal Blush, Costa Azzura & Black Orchid

I liked the Body Shop one too, thanks for reminding me! I wonder if they still do it?

I now have Red Roses - Jo Malone & Rose Aurore - L'Occitane. I prefer the latter on me as I find the Jo Malone one too heavy & overpowering.

Byredo Rose of No Man’s Land is beautiful

Paul Smith Rose and Serge Lutens Sa Majeste La Rose are my favourite rose perfumes.

Estee lauder Desert Eden is a musky rosy scent, very pricey but gorgeous.

Another vote for Penhaligon's ER.

I have a 10ml vaporiser perfect for travel/handbag, that came in last years Liberty advent calendar. It's not my style at all as very strong rose scent but if you like roses I'm sure it's gorgeous.

Lola by Marc Jacobs is beautiful. Not sure they still make it but you can still buy it unopened on places like Vinted.

Rose based scents are my most favourite and have got through few!

Dyptique Eau de Rose is a good fresh rosey rose, Jo Malone Red Roses is lovely. Paul Smith Rose is light and really rose and nothing else. My most favourite is Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady which is a really heady rose but is also very complex dark scent rather that the ‘typical’ rose perfumes which tend to err on the light and fresh end of the scale.

I forgot to say yesterday that Serge lutens la fille de Berlin is also a wonderful Rose perfume. To me it's a very realistic Rose.

I used rose musk libertine for a long time but it's discontinued and incredibly expensive on auction sites 😭

I have Paul Smith's Rose, which other people have recommended. When it's straight out of the bottle it's like sticking your nose into a rose, but on my skin it sometimes rapidly goes a bit sharp and watery smelling. I wear Issey Miyake's Rose & Rose a lot, which is quite a sweet fruity, almost chemical smelling, rose when it comes out, but if you don't overdo it has a really nice warm rosey smell all day.

I would love to smell Perris Monte Carlo Rose de Mai and Rose de Taif but am afraid to order samples in case I want them too much - I have a different floral perfume from Perris Monte Carlo, and it's beautiful. Not rich enough to have more than one 'proper' perfume on the go!

Jo Malone is my favourite, then Miss Dior Roses n Roses. I think Guerlain have bought out a new Roses one - that will be on my xmas list !

Paul Smith Rose is my favourite, definitely for every day anyway. I have had so many compliments and questions about what I’m wearing over the years too - it is light but it does really last on me.

Also, not fancy but M&S do one called Red Berries and Rose which is around £10 and I picked up on a whim and it’s lovely and also lasts quite well.

Armani Diamonds Rose is surprisingly nice too.

The Body Shop used to do a really pure tea rose scent called "Tea Rose." They stopped it, the bastards.

For me, the best substitutions now are Jo Malone Red Roses (or the Perfume Parlour's very good dupe) or Yardley, English Rose.
