Perfume that smells of roses.

Can anyone recommend a rose smelling fragrance. I've had a lovely one from Harris and Miller but it doesn't last on me!

@StoneColdAlibi I ordered the sample set too! Very good value, but I am a bit worried about possible import costs if it is coming from France in our post-Brexit world? I got burned last year when I bought a handbag from a French supplier with free delivery and then had to pay a sizable customs fee. But the bag was much more expensive than this so hopefully if there are charges they won't be too high.

Yeah it'll only be a percentage, so a couple of euros at most

Rozu by Aesop is a lovely blend that is very different to most rose fragrances.

Le Labo Rose33 is divine, even the shampoo is enough to leave a wonderful rose fragrance wafting around you.

@nothingeverhappensinstmarymead I totally agree with you! I adore L'Eau Capitale by diptyque. Its beautiful. I also far prefer it to portrait of a lady which I also find far too strong & over powering. It has a harsh tone, reminds me of the 80s style big perfumes like poison etc

I also like the Le Labo Rose one too

4160 Tuesdays Raw Silk and Red Roses or Killer Rose. I also recommend Paul Smith Rose- a woman at my book had about 4 compliments within minutes of arriving. Also Le Jardin Retrouve Rose Trocadero, it's from an old family formula is a classic French haute parfumerie style EDP. I also second Dior Miss Dior Rose n Roses.

@UnconventionalLife I don't want to derail the OPs thread, but if you love Eau Capitale, what other perfumes do you love? As I find it is too heavy in the summer but can't find any other perfume that I like as much for hot weather. I've been very happy to start wearing Eau Capitale again now that autumn is here!

@MissBattleaxe what would you say the difference is between those two by 4160 Tuesdays? There are so many different types of roses in my experience; some I would describe as a pure rose, some rose generally floral and some have what I think as a Turkish delight overtone 😀

I love rose scents! L'eau Capitale by Diptyque is gorgeous, especially for winter. It's not a light scent but smells like a warm hug and lasts all day without being overpowering. I prefer it to Diptyque's Eau Rose and I also much prefer it to Portrait of a Lady, which often gets recommended as the 'best' rose perfume but I find much too strong and gives me a headache.

For a light true rose scent i also like the Dr Hauschka rose body oil, but it doesn't last very long.

I agree re. Eau Capitale but I also do love POAL. They smell very similar on me - both a sort of Turkish rose which I love. I have the Jo Loves Rose one and it is a bit furniture polish like after a while.

Roses - ZARA ...the bottle with pale pink cap, was sold in a set of 2 different perfumes..
