Perfume that smells of roses.

Can anyone recommend a rose smelling fragrance. I've had a lovely one from Harris and Miller but it doesn't last on me!

L'Occitane do some lovely Rose perfumes

Penhaligon’s Elizabethan rose

Red Roses by Jo Malone or Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria Rosa Rosso. They smell awful on me, but I love them on other people.

Eau Rose by Diptyque.

I lik the Jo Malone one as recommended above. I also like Paul Smith Rose but it's a much lighter fragrance and doesn't last too long.

I love rose scents! L'eau Capitale by Diptyque is gorgeous, especially for winter. It's not a light scent but smells like a warm hug and lasts all day without being overpowering. I prefer it to Diptyque's Eau Rose and I also much prefer it to Portrait of a Lady, which often gets recommended as the 'best' rose perfume but I find much too strong and gives me a headache.

For a light true rose scent i also like the Dr Hauschka rose body oil, but it doesn't last very long.

Louis Malle Une Rose is by far the best realistic Rose perfume to me. Seconded by Louis Malle Lipstick Rose & Ysl Paris EDP for lipstick/Violet infused Roses.

love rose but a lot are sickly, this has a salty note to it that makes it sophisticated and very wearable.

Rosine perfumes are Rose specialists & have some gorgeous Roses in every genre possible.

I too was going to say Paul Smith Rose, or there is the old school Yardley Rose.

I got DD La Vie est Belle en Rose for christmas last year, that was a lovely rose/peony vibe and lasts extremely well.

My personal favourites, ranging from high to low in price, are Tom Ford Rose Prick, Jo Malone Red Roses and Liz Earle Botanical No. 20.

I bought one from Zara just for work days called rose gourmand which is lovely

Other lovely Rose perfumes I forgot to mention are Montale's Rose Musk & Crystal Flowers. Plus Papillon's Tobacco Rose - a unisex Rose with Oakmoss.

@StoneColdAlibi I ordered the sample set too! Very good value, but I am a bit worried about possible import costs if it is coming from France in our post-Brexit world? I got burned last year when I bought a handbag from a French supplier with free delivery and then had to pay a sizable customs fee. But the bag was much more expensive than this so hopefully if there are charges they won't be too high.

Monotheme, Rose Oud and Fragonard, Rose de mai, both from M&S, are nice for an everyday rose fragrance. I also like the L'Occitane rose perfumes.

YSL Paris is a classic rose perfume. Long lasting too.
