UAE wedding

I've been invited to a UAE wedding (bride is originally Iranian and lives in Abu Dhabi now). It's my husband's cousin and I will be going on the Saturday evening. I've been told it's a traditional UAE wedding.
I wondered if anyone has ever been to an Emirate wedding before and could give me any pointers on what to wear please?

Not been to a wedding but lived over there for a while. I would suspect that Super glam but covered up would be the protocol. So maxi dresses and long sleeves with heels and immaculate hair and makeup. They often wear an abaya ( long floaty coverup) as well. If

You wear an abaya you could get away with something less covered up (but still modest) underneath)

@Puppylucky Thank you

A traditional UAE wedding will seperate men and women even after marriage , so you can wear whatever you like as there will be no photos taken. Most women will wear high end designer glam, no care for modesty as everyone present will be female.

But an Iranian wedding would be very different.

Speak to her in more detail about what dress code she expects.

They do vary these days, it wasnt Abu Dhabi but another me city, and I was surprised that the men and women partied together and short sleeved dresses were preferred (but full length) check with the bride!

We were invited to one of the close family pre-marriage ceremonies by my DSis's colleague (MoG). Most of the young people had grown up in the West so it was all mixed sex, but the style vibe was glamorous modest. No body flesh on display, but half-bared arms, lots of colour and sparkle.
