Anyone wearing a shacket?

I mean the long oversized checked shirt/jacket. They seem to be everywhere. I bought one for teenage dc today and wondered if I could wear one. They look warm and practical for everyday and I think I would get my wear out of it. Not sure if it will date quickly which puts me off. Is anyone wearing one?

My husband has several. He wears them open over a tshirt. They look nice.

Im 39 and love a shacket! I've just bought two wool effect ones from new look, one black one cream. Also eyeing up a brown checked one from M&S

I had one about three years ago. Wore it once. It went to the clothes bank a few weeks ago. I didn't think they were still in "fashion ".

I have one in sweatshirt material which I found today when looking for autumn clothes in the cupboard for my daughter - I’d forgotten I owned it and how much I love it! So comfy and warm.

They've been about for years now and I do like some of the ones in nice self colours but I hate the checked lumberjack ones. I have a plain grey one which is great for long car journeys, getting out at services etc and you still look reasonable.😊

No. But I saw shumpers in Primark this week and I was tempted.

I've got a shoat! Got it in 2021 and I wore it today with black leather joggers, black vest and white trainers.

They are very popular here in Western Canada. Not necessarily plaid, though. I think because of the practicality of them.

I've noticed fleece is coming back in as well. More the 1/4 zip pullover style in a thicker fleece.

I've got a fleece lined blue check shacket but this year I want a wrap around knitted cardigan coatigan thing .

I want a shumper and a shoat now!

No because I had them first time round in the 90s and it just heel wrong!

I prefer a cashmere chardigan myself.

My fleece lined check shirt was from Mountain Warehouse a few years ago @SBHon bit I just looked and they don't seem to do one this year.

I haven't settled on a chunky belted cardigan/coatigan yet, but they seem to be everywhere.

I'm also wavering a bit because although I love the look but they are probably a pain to dry in the wintertime and I only like to break my "No Buy" for really good choices.
