Bling cardigan

Hi! I’m looking for a blingy cardigan for my Nan. She’s about 85. She loves all things bling even now. With the upcoming festive season I’m looking for a buttoned jumper/ cardigan/ sweater that’s at least hip length (not crop) to gift her. I’m visiting her in November and would like to gift her that then.

please let me know if you find one.

thanks.

@ProperDeep sorry none of these. She prefers button down ones only. She’s a size 18 but wears loose so I normally buy a size 20 for her.

I can’t link it but on Zara there is a proper cardi with metallic thread and sequin detail that may work?

OP is looking for a button down cardigan. Why are PPs posting jumpers?!

littleripper · 12/10/2023 08:26

This is a zip up light jacket - my great aunt got one for her 90th https://www.amazon.co.uk/Girls-Stylish-Baseball-Outwear-Rainbow/dp/B07FNSBPXK/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=Sequin+Cardigans&qid=1697095514&sr=8-16

Because in her OP she said I’m looking for a buttoned jumper/ cardigan/ sweater which suggests jumpers are also ok …

Flyinggeesei234 · 12/10/2023 08:47

Ok Ok, thanks @ProperDeep I read it differently and was really confused!

This might be rather lovely. Elegant and versatile (though I’d wear a vest beneath).

This is a bit more hard edged:

https://www.zara.com/uk/en/metallic-crackled-knit-sweater-p06427118.html?v1=305171357&v2=2291084

But you don’t give her clothing size, so these might be no good!

for her 85 year old nan? a sheer glitter top. cmon!

Autumnleavesx · 12/10/2023 09:21

Sorry, just realised that one isn’t available in her size. I’ll see if I can find anymore!

ProperDeep · 12/10/2023 11:55

@Myfabby I wouldn’t have thought it was spectacularly difficult to imagine an item of clothing being worn in real life? I’m not 80 - but if I chose that jumper I would wear something underneath it. Assumed everyone would decide how to wear it for themselves …

I've inherited one like this from my MiL, it's pretty but not party glittery
