Broken GHDS - online repair services

Random one, I have a broken pair of ghds - won’t switch on at all - which have passed their warrantee. I’ve been looking into online repair services which charge around £30, wondering if anyone has any experience with any of these, how legit are there? Seen some stuff about hair burning off

I sent mine away to a company that seemed to have reasonable reviews, it cost about £20. They came back really quickly and have been fine ever since. I'm still on first generation GHDs with that one repair. I have had them since I was at school!

Many many years ago I sent my GHDs off to a company who fixed any fault for £20. So a broken fuse that would
cost pence to fix or something more complex, £20,
whatever the problem. Came back fixed and PAC tested. Can’t find the company now but I had a good experience and my GHDs continue for their 17th year!

I’m waiting to receive mine back from fixmyghds…will let you know 🤞🏻

I've done it a few times and very happy with the service. Come back fixed and good as new within a few days. Much cheaper than new GHDs!

Ive done it before, royal mail tracking didnt work properly and I didn't get any confirmation GHD received them. I endd up buying a new pair, and my repaired GHD's were returned fixed about three months later unexpectedly.

@Mumaway @pharmachameleon which company did you use? :)

I've used this company twice I think and would recommend www.ghdrepair.co.uk
