Partners birthday approaching. He used to like his designer bits and bobs when younger but obv times change etc.

I'd love to get him (as per title) a navy blue v neck jumper of lovely lovely quality.

Any suggestions? 200 quid tops probably.

Joseph and Canali do nice cashmere/merino jumpers.

Joseph doesn't offer menswear anymore and it would cost you way more than £200 for a jumper. Canali will cost you £300 for merino. If you want to buy designer you need to increase your budget unless you manage to find something on sale or you buy merino instead of cashmere . There is a company called Rise and Fall that has a v neck 100% cashmere sweater for £150 otherwise there is always the high street . Uniqlo and M&S cashmere is pretty good.

Outlet sites like BrandAlley or Otrium often have expensive cashmere at reduced prices. Classic cuts like you’re after can be quite easy to find. In particular I have bought Scott&Scott cashmere through BrandAlley and it’s decent quality.

I would also try Denner, Pure Collection and Boden for well priced mid quality cashmere, it’s not top top end like N Peal but it’s not £300 either! Here is the Denner option

Men's V-Neck

100% organic 2ply cashmere V Neckline Full-length sleeves Matching rib-knit cuffs & hem Average length 28" Sizes S - XXL Classic fit  Machine washable

I will second House of Bruar. Good Quality and mid priced for cashmere

Walker Slater? Would try to look for something from a smaller producer for better quality. Having said that my Uniqlo cashmere seems to wear well but something from Johnstone's of Elgin, Hawico etc. is the dream.

Woolovers do cashmere but I find their cuts/shapes quite dated. Eribe have some men's but it's patterned. House of Bruar is a good shop but some of their ladies cashmere is a little thin but no doubt the men's is fine as they tend to get better fabrics for the same price 🙄

I've had good luck with John Lewis men's cashmere, might not be the luxe gift you're after.

COS. outstanding quality cashmere.

I bought a woman's navy cashmere this weekend for £200 and I see myself wearing it for many years.

John Smedley has amazing quality but might be over budget (not by much).
