@Bimblesalong I’ve ordered too for that reason! My first AC and it looked a lovely one. Need to not be tempted by all the others now. :)

Wow, I would be tempted if it got reduced as the calendar looks great. I doubt it will this year though, which would probably be for the best as I really don’t need a third one!
It looks much better than the JL one I have got but I was pushed into purchasing that one as I had the £25 off voucher so it was only £170, plus DH offered to buy it at that price for an extra birthday gift.

I’ve seen an advert for Cult Beauty ‘boxes’ eg. Skincare, makeup etc to be released soon

Incase anyone is a diptyque fan like me space nk has 20% and it worked on my fav candle. I am bidding on a lot of the space nk items on eBay that end today and then this candle might help me make my own as a back up and then if reductions I will play it by ear but I would love the bio effect serum in fenwicks and harrods so they are the 2 calling me. More so the harrods x

@MidnightMeltdown oh absolutely agree, don't worry I wasn't taking it personally! It was the unboxings that swung it for me with F&M, the vloggers were very complimentary. I really like the AA bath oils but I'm down to my last one so I'll be glad to stock up again. The mini candles are annoying, I'd rather have one full size one, but the Lauren Dickinson Clarke candle is very cute. We've just moved and I'm setting up a bedroom as a dressing room so it'll look fab on my dressing table. I fancy the eye mask too, I got a silk one in a GWP I really liked but DH works nights sometimes and he stole it! So good to have a spare. Actually really excited for F&M this year, no buyer's regret.

@Twinsandsome that's good to know thanks, Diptyque is so rarely reduced. What's your favourite candle, out of curiosity?

Sounds like a few of us have gone with space nk at the same time for fear of it selling out - it’ll be interesting to see if it does! Absolutely no regrets here and even at full price I think it’s a great deal.

On a separate point, I read yesterday that the recommended daily limit for CBD products has been quite significantly reduced. I think below the dosage level of the two products in JL?! They make up a significant chunk of value in that calendar and I think put a lot of people off (including me) but I wonder if this will have any further impact on sales? I may have misunderstood the news report though so happy to be corrected!!

@Dee1224 I didn't think it had included the handbag set when I checked out but it did, and arrived separately. The set wasn't included on the confirmation email.

@Squishmymallow Interesting! Nope, looks like you're correct, on BBC. The sleep drops are 50mg a day and power drops 37.5mg a day, and the FSA are recommending no more than 10mg a day long term. The article does say 'the recommendation is only advisory - regulators are not requesting that any products are taken off shelves' so looks like they won't have to withdraw the calendars but you're right, it may well put people off. The sleep drops are in F&M too and it's making me think twice about using them, although the odd occasion would likely be fine. I've always been a bit sceptical about CBD tbh. Interestingly I was watching Cosmetopia and she keeps saying the oral supplements/CBD products are a lawsuit waiting to happen, so she may well be right sooner than she thought!

Only going to buy a calendar if there is a discount – I guess that will happen around Black Friday?

@Possimpible Baies I absolutely adore it and can never find a cheaper alternative I love as much. I also love pomander at Christmas and the pine one. I haven’t come across one I don’t like but Baies just makes my happy. so many of my friends buy nice candles just for show and never light them whereas I burn them
and enjoy them xx

Re: CBD products @Squishmymallow and @Possimpible I am with Cosmetopia that these are a lawsuit waiting to happen- I have always thrown away anything I got in an advent calendar containing CBD, (e.g. in H&B a couple of years ago). I also loathe the idea of all those gummie things and won’t have those either.

I don’t believe for one minute this stuff is safe and won’t buy a calendar that contains CBD or gummies. Once I found out that HN had CBD products, it went straight off my list, (which was good for my bank balance!)

I am totally onboard with medically approved cannabis issued under doctors’ supervision, but all this CBD stuff in otc beauty/health products just worries me on safety grounds.

Interesting news about CBD. I wonder whether retailers knew about this, which is why several of them are suddenly trying to offload their CBD products in beauty calendars. They probably think that they won't shift it otherwise.

@Possimpible I agree that the Lauren Dickenson Clarke candle is cute! I have a silk eye mask from last years CB that I haven't used. I was thinking that I might save it for my next long haul flight.

@Dee1224I think it's the G word? I'm guessing MN gets a lot of spam so that word is automatically blocked until they can check? CBD is a minefield, in my job we get a lot of queries about whether it's safe for people to use, and there just is rarely enough data to say.

@MidnightMeltdown Really good point, I wouldn't be surprised. The OTO products are in quite a few this year.

This is actually a great deal and if I didn't already have quite a few items from the advent I would purchase. It's 45 items for 168 so average product "price" of approx £3.70. Pretty good if you will use the majority (and can sell or gift the rest)

Although LF has form for cancelling orders when codes weren't meant to stack...do we think it's a case of that potentially?

Oh now I am tempted by the LF offer and so hadn’t even considered that calendar until now! 😆

I've cracked and ordered Fenwicks with the GWP. I also got a Molton Brown 30ml shower gel and a mini Bobbi Brown lipstick thrown in, so I'm happy with my haul. There's a lot I use in the calendar, including the EGF, so it's a bargain for me. I'm done now unless the Flannels cracker AC gets significantly reduced.

@Defiantlynot41 nah the T&Cs say it excludes the advent calendar, any Christmas products, and some other stuff which is a shame. I've just bought some basics (setting powder and concealer) and treated myself to the Diptyque eau de toilette set, so I may need to abstain from the Elle calendar I was planning since that cost about as much. Wouldn't have got it without the 20% off though so that was nice.
