Long lasting nail varnish

Essie and opi don't seem to last on me. I'm sure I used to use them with a different top coat but can't remember what it was. I feel like I need to throw a lot of my old and start again.
Any suggestions for a brand that lasts more than a few days or a good top coat?
I like the way opi and Orly apply. I find Orly lasts a day or two but I don't think it needs a top coat so haven't been using one.

Interested too but I think I'm destined for chipped nails

Use Seche Vite top coat.

I use Essie and it lasts 7 days with Seche Vite on top.

No 7 top coat will make any polish last ages.

Maybelline Super Stay 7 Day - the best I've used, and not expensive, either (sadly, it is a very limited range of colours)

Recommend the Rimmel gel top coat (no light needed) it's about £7 but I can get a good few days out of my nails now
Tried the Sally Hansen one and really don't rate at all

Not a 'top if the range' polish but it seems to stay on for ages on fingers and toes... Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish, one coat gives really good coverage and there's a good range of colours too.

Nails Inc lasts a long time on me with no chipping. I do put a top coat on. Buy it from Superdrug.

Essie lasts a week for me, longer on my toes. Are you using a base coat and then 2 coats of colour?

Essie gel couture 2 or 3 coats of colour then one of top coat is the only polish that has ever stayed on for me.

Yes using an opi base and top coat. Also have a couple of the Essie top coats. My nails aren't even long but I get missing bits after a day.

Not a direct answer to your question but since I started using OPI repair mode, every varnish lasts longer.

I had very thin, peeling nails and even gel varnishes wouldn’t last that long.

But since discovering this and using it regularly, I can do a diy manicure with cheap Mabelline varnish even and it will last.

And no, I don’t work for Mabelline or OPI 😂

@pinkyponkyplink i was Opis biggest fan but I have bought a couple recently and they have been terrible 😞 no colour! Yet my old colours are fantastic, full colour with one coat and lasting 7-10 days with lots of abuse. Maybe they’ve changed the formula, do you think so.
