Black tailored suit

Please gurus help?
I'm fancying a black suit for nights out. I've lost weight, live in the gym and for the first time in my life have an ok figure.
I'm 53, 5ft 8 and a size 12.
I'm envisioning cigarette type trousers and a fitted jacket with maybe a sexy little vest underneath?
Not made of money though!
