How do you feel about all this 'borg' stuff?

It's everywhere and in my opinion it's absolutely hideous, especially the coats and jackets for babies and children.

Primark have a black and white checked borg jacket for babies. I can't think of anything worse than seeing a baby in that!

What do you think? Please don't bite me for having an opinion. If you like them, it's fine - there must be a good market for it for it to be so popular! 😊

Is this Star Trek Borg/Bjorn Borg/or the anachronym Black Out Rage Gallon te alcohol? (Had to google that last one!)

Magpiecomplex · 08/10/2023 12:31

I'm afraid my automatic reaction is "Resistance is futile" 😂

I find it itchy

Back in the 90s this was called 'lumberjack style' am sure!

It's nice but washes badly

GameOverBoys · 08/10/2023 12:35

I love it. Maybe not the shacket style but the outdoorsy fleece type looks really nice.

I would have bought that babygro.

I agree, OP. It's hideous

I had to google and having eliminated Star Trek and tennis I'm just getting sort of random fleece things but not necessarily one consistent style so they vary quite a bit in look; quite a few are pretty ugly, others ok I think. Some styles use the fabric as a lining only while others are entirely made of it.

I have got a couple of fuzzy fleecy zip up jackets for wearing around the house as I'm ill and often cold. For that kind of use I guess it doesn't much matter what they look like. They're very warm and comfy and comforting, perfect when you're feeling fragile, and I love them! But no idea if they count as borg.

dontgobaconmyheart · 10/10/2023 14:38

I probably wouldn't wear it as it's not really my style and wouldn't overly work well with my existing wardrobe but equally couldn't care less what someone's baby is wearing, I can't say I ever clock what children have on at all in fact. By the same token I'm not overly bothered what other adults wear, I'm sure there are plenty that can easily pull it off during autumn/winter.

Saschka · 10/10/2023 14:42

Just another word for a fleece jacket isn’t it?

I find “teddy bear fleece” clothes far creepier! I do not want to wear a skinned teddy bear 😱

SylvieLaufeydottir · 10/10/2023 14:46

It's cheap and nasty, and holds up to washing and wear really badly.

Wellwellwellwallace · 10/10/2023 15:03

It's ok. Nothing wrong with a baby in it
