Louis Vuitton Speedy B

Following on from the excellent Neverfull Thread, can we talk about the LV Speedy B (B meaning it has a strap).
I’m a bit taken with the 90s/early 00s look and the capacity of it. And it’s long history is really interesting (to me at least).
Ive ruled out the nano as I need to carry glasses cases and I’ve ruled out the 20 as it has a woven strap which (agree with camera bag thread) is becoming dated.

So I’m down to the 25, 30, and 35. Apparently 30 used to be standard but Audrey Hepburn requested a more petite version and the 25 was born.

What are people views on the style in the context of current trends? And can anyone let me know the pros and cons of different sizes please?

I've always liked the shape but i only like the small ones with a strap. I used to love holding a bag when younger but to be honest I prefer hands free these days just for practically with a phone etc

style wise the 90s have obviously been in a while but I don't think the Speedy is particularly on trend. It's all about the big shoulder tote or oversized clutch in very slouchy shapes.

Would 100% need a strap so agree with that. I know they aren’t on trend but to be honest that would put me off. It’s more about it fitting in with other current clothing trends. When they were popular in my youth I would have rather died than wear one (not that I had the money to really choose) but there is something quite attractive about one now.

current clothing trends are quite relaxed, slouchy & grungy hence why I think soft slouchy bags are in. I do think logos aren't particularly in as everything is a bit plainer & paired back. However if you like it go for it.

I have the 25b and it's perfect for everyday. I don't carry lots though.
