Black tie outfit ideas

Getting to that time of year again… I’ve got 3 black tie events in November with work. 0 clue and even less motivation.

Has anyone seen…:

Black/red/maybe gold
long dress or jumpsuit
not one shoulder or strapless
ideally v necked as like boobs hate everything else

am 5”2 and size 12. 40

any ideas/links/guidance would be appreciated. Am going blind looking at 1000000 dresses, haven’t braved high street yet as fear it’s a little early.

If you attend similar black tie work events every year, why do you have no clue what to wear?

What’s your work environment, and level of seniority? How do you want to look? Where do you usually shop? How much would you want to spend? New or pre-owned? Do you actually want a Bombshell dress?

Usually I just end up panic buying and never feel totally happy with dress… and each year the search begins again. Probably worse this year as I’ve lost 3 stone so nine of previous mediocre outfits look right.

Head of UK, male dominated. Budget not really an issue but £200 ish would be ideal given wearing only a couple of times I’d love to look bombshell but fear that’s a tall order* *impossible

I do realise this isn’t a particularly interesting thread/post, I just thought I’d ask if anyone had any ideas that’s all.

EBay is brilliant for evening gowns as people only tend to wear them once. Lots of sellers allow returns too
