Chanel foundations- talk me thru the options

Can anyone give me the low-down on Chanel foundation? Now that so many mid price brands are catching up with them re. prices, I am going to have a look.

I want something that is medium cover, (or light that can be built up) I have normal skin, not dry or oily, I like a slightly glowy finish or semi matte (not fully matte.)

I am also very pale and usually have to buy the palest shades but neutral not pink or yellow toned.

I will go into store to look too, but the assts can be quite salesy and I'd love your experiences.

My favourite Chanel Foundation is Les Beiges Healthy Glow, it’s my go to. Medium but buildable coverage and the shade is perfect for me (BR12). I’m very pale but need to the pink undertone (I think that’s what the R stands for) otherwise I look very sallow. I like the fact I still see my freckles through it! My skin type is combination, oily t-zone and dry elsewhere. But my friend who is more oily found Les Beiges really slipped off her (even with a setting powder). We’re both mid-30s.

Do not go near the water fresh tint… that was a waste of my money.

If you don’t mind YouTube vloggers Erin Nicole does a very good run down of the different Chanel foundations on her channel (she used to work on the counter for them I think). She’s sort of my guilty pleasure when I need random YouTube nonsense at the end of the day.

Great thanks.

The only thing putting me off is some reviews say it's highly perfumed which I don't like as my skin can be a bit sensitive.

I like the Ultra Le Teint, it's a 24 hour and described as soft matte. It's perfect on my skin that did have rosacea. I use the BD31 as I don't need any pink in a foundation as I have enough of my own!
I always get a sample to try for a couple of days at home.
I think I have been using it for about 4 years or so.

I suggest les beiges. The perfume fades. Ultra le teint is great for weddings etc.

I’ve never found the Les Beiges to be perfumed, that might be just me though!
