Eyeliner that really stays put?

Can anyone recommend a brown eyeliner, that looks sort of soft and smudgy but doesn't migrate down my face? I've pretty much given up wearing make up the last few years, but just had a dry run for a big event coming up and found my old go-to liquid liner is way too harsh on my older and more haggard face. I struggle to get anything to stay put though - I tend to get quite clammy with anxiety and menopause. Cheaper end preferred.

I have to say that I bought the VB one when it was on offer and it is imo the best to date but expensive.

Urban Decay eyeliners stay out in my experience and there are lovely colours

Stay put that should say

Thanks for the suggestions - will check them out. Never heard of Kiko, but looks good. I need to replace everything really as most of my make-up is ancient now, and that looks like a good starting point.

Yes to the Victoria Beckham ones - best I've ever used

I've recently discovered eyelid primer (I know, late to the party) but am finding this brilliant at keeping all the eye make up in place, including eyeliner. I use a Charlotte Tilbury one which I like.

Another fan of Victoria Beckham’s. Very good staying power

Dreemhouse · 03/10/2023 11:59

Sorry I just realised you said cheaper ones preferred and the VB one is quite expensive. But I think worth the money for how nice it is

StillSmallVoice · 03/10/2023 12:05

Watching with interest. I have a graveyard of eyeliners which didn't do the job.

Cheeesus · 03/10/2023 12:07

Yes to the primer!

After wasting far too much time and money researching eyeliners, this primer makes any one stay put. On me anyway. I have very greasy eyelids. Lovely. Urban decay, so not cheap, but cheaper than wasted eyeliners.

I've ordered the Kiko one so will give it a go an report back. I so rarely wear any make up now that I don't want to spend loads, and it has to be easy as I'm very out of practice. It's weird, pre-covid I wouldn't even answer the door without eyeliner, but I'm so used to just looking like I do now that putting on the full works feels quite alien.

expensive - stila is excellent

DramaAlpaca · 03/10/2023 20:24

Another vote for Victoria Beckham. It's not cheap, but it stays put.
