Jokes aside, I think for a ‘classy’ Christmas jumper, a traditional Fairisle or Nordic style knit is a winner. Can be worn outside of Christmas but definitely pass as a Christmas jumper.

@BluebellsForest the OP didn’t give a budget, and I was just giving suggestions - there are plenty of cheaper fairisle jumpers out there including second hand/vintage and new.

I asked for classy. If a Fairisle jumper I like costs £150ish I'd go for it. It would get a lot of use.

Following with interest, I need Xmas jumper for quite a few activities, my previous one survived 6 years but couldn’t live forever. I can’t afford Brora or Bosie, Fat face one doesn’t suit me because of circular pattern on the neck and I need it to be cotton mixture. I don’t want it to be wool or synthetic without cotton.
Am I looking for a unicorn?

I want a jumper rather than a sweatshirt, may end up getting a sweatshirt to have something at least. I’m getting nervous and desperate.

Next always do great Christmas jumpers. Don't know if it is too early yet though.

I would also check Vinted, Poshmark etc. - I think these are items that are often worn once or twice and then sold on.
