What boots are in fashion this year?

I wear a lot of short dresses with tights in the winter, looking for something to wear with them and also with leggings/jeans. Last year I had chunky flat lace-up boots.

What are people wearing this year? (I'm in my 50's, if that's relevant.

I think laces are going out, there were a lot of Chelsea boots that went quite high up the leg in dune when I was last in there. Fairly chunky soles.

I agree with pp. I have a pair of Dr. Marten chelseas, but if there's snow or rain I wear Sorels- very stylish but read the reviews as their sizing is funny.

I've been looking too. Not finding much I like

Lace ups are still everywhere so I’m still planning on wearing mine. But also after some cosy Chelsea boots
