I am a skincare floozy and chop and change a lot. I am in the market for a new vitamin c serum and a retinol (not tret - I used skin and me for months and it never suited but retinol made my skin glow).

Generally don't get on the ordinary/inkey list. Have loved the bliss vit c serum and liked Revolution.

I'm just coming to the end of Pai retinol which is ok and loved revitalist pure retinol serum.

Any suggestions? Have big Superdrug, boots, M&S and JL available tomorrow.

I have tried loads of Vitamin Cs and my current favourite is the Sali Hughes. It's not the strongest, and it's not L-ascorbic, but I've tried numerous ones of those (up to 23%) and they eventually made my face irritated. The Sali Hughes one is perfect for me. I can use it every day with no issues.

Geek and Gorgeous is supposed to be a dupe of Skinceuticals without the £££££s but you can only get that online.

I also worked my way up through various retinols and onto Tret, but I've now come down to a retinal. I'm using the ELF one and it's bloody marvellous. No irritation, can use it every day. A step up from retinol but down from Tret.

I've found my happy duo and won't be changing. Easy on the ££s too!

I'd agree with Sol and recommend Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow. I've used it for a few years and really rate it. They sell a mini empty bottle so you can decant a week's worth at a time and keep the rest fresh in the fridge. I use Tret but their retinol A-Game gets great reviews too. Medik8 and Paula's choice retinols also get good reviews.

Thanks both. I have a geek and gorgeous moisturiser which is ok but I don't love which makes me a touch wary about trying it.

I may try Sali Huges/Elf tomorrow as I think I can get both in Superdrug. I've repeatedly seen good things about both.
