I would just love the Jo Malone advent calendar.

But is it worth it?

I’ve just ordered it , I don’t think it’s exceptionally good value compared to The Beauty Advent Calendars but there’s so many things in them I wouldn’t use. I bought F&M last year and although I enjoyed it , 50% of the products weren’t really what I would chose but were nice to try. I think they’re all very samey.

Value for money JM , I feel the products at least outweigh the cost of the calendar and I know I’ll use everyone and enjoy it. I’ve lusted after it for a couple of years and there’s nothing else I desperately need this winter so decided to treat myself. It arrives on Wednesday so I’m very excited, roll on December as I’m really looking forward to trying some of the fragrances I haven’t tried before.

It has always sold out and never been discounted so I didn’t want to risk missing out.

I'm considering the Jo Malone one or the Jo Loves one but it's ££££££ plus is it a gamble if I don't like some of the scents?! I already have a few JM perfumes which I love and Im not sure I need the stuff in the beauty advent calendars (cos I've still got loads left over from last years one 😳)

Thoughts on the Jo Malone one, is it worth it?!

The Jo Loves advent calendar looks great this year and would prefer to opt for that. I have had a Jo Malone one in the past and (this sounds ridiculously and embarrassingly spoiled of me but….) I was disappointed. There wasn’t enough variety of products, it just felt like a collection of mini bottles of perfume, which basically is what it is! A shame when there are so many different products that Jo Malone have that I would have liked to have seen in there are tried (the skincare range, room sprays etc) it was boring and I ended up with loads of unused scent. Completely my spoilt brat opinion though and lots of people would and will surely appreciate it much more than me!

Do the Jo Loves frangrances last any better than the Jo Malone ones?

I have had both the Jo Malone calendar and the Jo Loves one. I preferred the Jo Malone one simply because of the smell of the perfumes!

Last year one of the days s was a ridiculous white pompom keyring type thing which I was disappointed with. Everything else I 😍

I spent ages deliberating on buying the JM advent calendar but when I went to try the scent which is the full sized bottle I decided I didn’t like it enough to want a full sized bottle. I also thought about Jo Loves but that had a lot less perfumes and so despite really liking the idea of the voucher to buy a full size perfume of your favourite as the main gift it didn’t quite call me enough.

In the end I bought a JM collection of 5 perfumes for £90, a Holland & Barrett advent calendar and feel like I’ve got another £200 in my pocket spare to treat myself on anything else that comes up on the S&B thread which takes my fancy… 😂

I’ve had the Jo Malone one a few years ago and wouldn’t recommend it. The perfume bottles are very small so handy for handbags, but many were just not to my taste.

The candles are basically tealights and, again, many in scents I’d never buy.

Personally, I’d prefer to use the money and buy full-size products in scents I really like and will use.
