Nails

For 40 years, I've bitten my nails.
I've grown them to this.
I'm proud, but feel they are shorter than average.
How long does everyone keep their real nails?

Like you I bit my nails until adulthood. I find that if I try and grow them they split at the sides, then I start nibbling, so I keep them short and neat.

Its a very good length I wouldn't personally go longer as i feel its gross and unhygienic.

As a nail biter, I think I've always dreamt of properly long nails - but from a practical point of view, I won't be able to keep them maintained and even lengths if I grow them much longer as they will start to split/break. I also think most of the longer nails I see are fake nails, which obviously gives false expectations.

I'll keep them at this length.
