What to wear with teal blue corduroy trousers!

I have a beautiful pair of Brora wide leg dark teal blue corduroys and haven’t worn them as I just can’t get the shoes right. I wore them today with grey Birkenstock Chelsea boots ( like blundstones) but they just don’t feel right. They come in at the hem (like Dutch trousers) which makes it harder and I live in the countryside so they need to be robust! But any advice/ideas welcome!

Tuck them into boot socks

Brogues

Ankle wellies that you can tuck the cords into when you’re doing country type stuff? Not sure about smarter occasions tho sorry.

They wouldn’t really tuck in as they are 7/8 length. Brogues is a good idea maybe chunky brown? Or loafers there seems to be a lot of them around at the moment. They are too nice to wear with wellies!

Perhaps like an off-white/pinkish nude brogue or loafer?

My favourite outfit ever was teal and darker brown, so I think you have the right idea.

From the way you describe the design (they're narrower at the hem), brogues would look great. They'd also be robust. I think I like the idea of brogues better than loafers because the brogues would have more presence, which would look good with a wide leg.

Ankle boots would probably look good too.
