I had slightly longer than a pixie cut coming up to 3 years ago. I’ve been trying to grow it out. How long would you think your hair would be nearly 3 years down the road? I think my hairdresser is cutting away as I don’t think my hair is that long. I wear glasses and I am asked to take them off during my cut. I cannot see a thing when my hair is being cut.

I am possibly being completely unrealistic with hair growth though!

Mine was cut very short just before the first (UK) lock down and is now well below my shoulders. It's not really been cut much though, just tidied up a bit.

Three years and mine went from pixie to below shoulders...2020
Then I let it grow to my waist... that was 2022
Then like the bloody idiot I am, I had it cut again into a pixie 5 weeks ago and hate hate HATE it.
I reckon it will take me another 3 years to have a decent , below shoulders length of hair again!!

Thanks. Mine isn’t at my shoulder yet and a couple of my layers are still very short. I’ve got a trim tomorrow so I will be telling her then.

Hair is meant to grow about half an inch/2cm a month, which I think is about right for mine, but if your hairdresser trims off more than a cm it's not going to get anywhere fast. Really the only solution is to not go very often while you are growing it!
I'm planning on getting the mullet bits snipped off (when I even get to that stage) and then ignoring my hair and wearing hats for the next 6 months )
And to remind myself that I NEVER like my hair short, so WHY did I think it would be different this time !!
