Flat (ish) long black boot that looks smart

Hi
Just wondering if anyone came across long (black) boots (knee or calf) that has a flat heel (or at least not too high) and has more of a smart design to be worn with dresses and tights?

Please send links or brands.

Thanks!

I have a previous version of these (slightly different heel to the new ones in the link) and they're fabulously comfy and look amazing. They take forever to lace up but they look great and are top quality:

@VelvetVoice - how are you struggling to find a suitable version of the most ubiquitous boot of the season? Flat black boots are everywhere.

Really depends whether you want to spend £50, £250, £500, or £1k …

They look good, thanks! I'm just confuse about their pricing.

I guess I always go for recommendations first when buying anything but specially shoes since I live on Nike and Adidas - budget is flexible but I'd like invest in quality, durability and versatility.

I like fairfax and favour! Especially the black leather ones, mine have lasted me years.

They look good, thanks! I'm just confuse about their pricing.

They're £595 total. £295 deposit plus £300 before delivery. It's unusual but they're a small business and everything is handmade. They only do small runs of each style and they tend to sell out very quickly. I've never seem them do pre-order before. I think it must be their new way of trying to balance out meeting demand but not over or under stocking.

I live in these in winter. I'm on my second pair, the first did three winters of pretty much every day wear.

Another vote for the Clarks Caddy ones - I love mine. They’re great under dresses or over skinny jeans

Bananaandmarmite · 26/09/2023 22:39

How are the Clark’s caddy’s in damp weather? Being suede I’d worry they’d water mark.

if they are fine, I think you’ve found me my winter boots!! Exactly what I’m looking for!!

Did you see they also have it in leather?

I love the pictures of the Clarks caddys and might order some.
What are the soles like? Are they smooth or do they have any kind of grip? Thanks

Throughabushbackwards · 27/09/2023 06:00

The suede is fine in wet weather, but I do use the Clarks brand suede protector. The soles are rubber and slightly textured, but not chunky.

MakemineaGandT · 27/09/2023 06:36

I have them in the leather - I’ve had them about 6 years. Last year I had a new sole/heel put on as they’d worn. They still look great. I do polish them every couple of weeks in winter to keep them looking smart.

Bananaandmarmite · 04/10/2023 22:07

Just ordered myself the Clark’s Caddy in suede, along with the Clark’s protection spray. Hoping they ok in damp weather. They look lovely
