Please help- I hate my microblading

I had my eyebrows microbladed yesterday and regret it.

I asked for ultra natural. Thin but just to fill in the gaps of my natural brows.

They are too thick (and dark) for my face (I am fair skinned and have petite features) and I feel like I have two slugs.

I know you aren’t supposed to get them wet, so I presume getting them wet might lighten them? I’ve been rubbing them with cotton buds and salt water.

I can probably adjust to the colour, it’s more the thickness 😭

Please can anyone share some tips for at home lightening? (I know there is emergency removal but I don’t want to do this)

I should note, the shape is beautiful when you zoom in. The tech has done a lovely job. But they just don’t suit my face at all. I look SO angry and I am very blonde.

They will fade eventually. Just give it a week and they will look completely different.

Last time I had them done they didn’t really fade much as they were so thick. They did lighten a little but the thickness took years to reduce.

(I wanted to try again and asked for a really thin brow this time, but for something similar)

Didn’t they warn you? You look like Groucho Marx for a few days afterwards. It’s normal.

If you’ve been rubbing at them with wet cotton buds you’re going to totally mess them up.

nottaotter · 26/09/2023 08:25

Don't wet them! I know it's hard to leave something alone when it's on your face, but they will fade and soften.

Wetting them could mess up the colour and turn the dye grey, they also need to scab over and heal without getting wet so you don't get the skin infected.

nottaotter · 26/09/2023 08:26

Can u put a photo of just your brows up?

smallshinybutton · 26/09/2023 08:34

Nooo! Don't rub them anymore! They'll look shit!

24252627a · 26/09/2023 09:00

😭 Thank you all. Ok I’ll stop rubbing them. I just am so embarrassed to go outside like this.
I have a dry skin type so I know that I will hold onto the colour.

I don’t think I can post a photo. But just imagine a contrast of very blonde hair and fair/pink skin and black eyebrows 😕

Get a hat

I really want natural looking microblading, I would be asking for exactly the same as you, but this is my biggest fear! Did you tell the tech you were v unhappy? How did they respond? If you say you hate them and are contemplating emergency removal they might have suggestions. Hopefully they'll fade for you and start to look nice

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 26/09/2023 09:17

It’s essentially a tattoo so if you still hate them when they’ve settled you could look at laser removal.

Although god knows what they’ll look like now you’ve gone at them with saltwater.

afaloren · 26/09/2023 09:26

This happened to my friend. She really did look bizarre at first (blonde and elfin features with two big thick black brows) but they faded and now look lovely. Try not to fret too much.

Thats exactly how I looked too. It’s normal. Alarming, but normal.

Googling “micro blading healing process” and you’ll see tons of memes that all say the same thing. Did your practitioner not tell you to expect big black scary looking brows? If this is your second time, surely you would have experienced it then too?

Scrubbing at fresh tattooed skin really was very very unwise.

Omg. I'm going through the exact same situation. Day three. I'm horrified.

MyChirpyRedTurtle · 14/10/2024 18:25

So a year on how did it turn out?

24252627a · 21/10/2024 16:03

Hi there. They have actually faded so much, I’m not sure they look like I had anything done. Perhaps slightly. I’ve started wearing eyebrow powder now.

I greatly overreacted with this post. (I had a previously bad experience with micro blading years ago and panicked a bit)

I'm glad you came back and updated. It is HARD to go with the healing process. I have mine topped up every 18 months or so and just accept that I'll look awful for one to two weeks. Even after going through it a few times I'm always scared a few days in......and then usually end up wishing I'd gone darker once they're healed!

Lifelover16 · 21/10/2024 17:09

That looks beautiful and very natural.

24252627a · 22/10/2024 08:13

Thanks 😃 I’m ok with them. It didn’t take long for these to fade to a natural look.
