Basically what the title says. Ive had a look around online at some 200 deniers bit reviews are mixed. I've never really worn tights so a bit clueless. Would appreciate some suggestions. Thank you

Snag or better tights both do some.also fleecy lined ones are good.

Tesco F&F do lovely opaque tights- really soft and not at all see-through.

Snag, best buy for tights there is. Not only black but loads of alternatives and the fit is much better than standard s/m/l

I have been told that the M&S tights are really nice and very comfortable. Also F&F are really good and cheaper

M&S Autograph Seamless. No centre seam, the top is knitted like a tube, and so comfy.

How are tights at staying up these days?
I havent worn them for years but remember it was a constant struggle not to have your gusset around your knees!
But then I also remember leggings back in the day being a similar struggle and now they seem fine.
Have tights evolved to stay up?
(sorry, for the slight sideways highjack!!LOL)😆

Do you actually feel very strongly about them being completely opaque? If you don't have a specific reason for 100.000% opacity, and if you're only going to wear them as a one-off then actually 100 denier from M&S or Boots in the size indicated on the back of the pack will be fine. Just saying m, because you say you're clueless.

If you've just started a job with a weird dress code where you have to wear black opaques every day and/or not display a hint of body tone for religious reasons then maybe it's worth shelling out for special 200 denier Snag.

Buy tights with a “sensible sized” cotton gusset, like Autograph Seamfree”, because of the gusset, you don’t need knickers with them. That way, no double layer slippage of the 2 fabrics and they adhere to the body.

l haven’t worn knickers with tights for years. I stress cotton gusset essential though.
