@toucaninjapan we’ve had a lot of flooding in the UK and the government taking a lot of criticism for lack of preparation. Many people have had to be rescued

A cold day here so dressed warmly and I’ve got the heating on I think this is my favourite jumper

Wearing mostly Boden today

Our situation is far from that many communities suffered but it’s not great anywhere I think @toucaninjapan
it’s cold again so dressed for warmth ( trying to have heating on only a bit but DD needs to be warm)

Yet another dreary day... 😩
Mooched around the local market today and bought a lovely new Jumper. Had a cinnamon donut and coffee at a new cafe on the way home.
I'm wearing Eribe jumper, Calvin Klein coat, River Island jeans and Birkenstock boots.

Love this! Great shapes combo. I have realized most of my clothes are monochrome/ tan.

Have been living in the same x2 cream sweaters all Christmas and also a bit freaked out by the thread being on tattle so have gone back to lurking.

Yesterday cords Kut from the Kloth, jumper Johnson's of Elgin, shirt landsend. Very cold but bright at last.

So cold (but at least it has finally stopped raining, and I don’t think we’re likely to get snow). I am wishing I’d worn a jumper though!

My brand new sailor moon jumper which I am beyond excited about with a vintage skirt. Feels weird wearing a jumper if I'm honest, like I'm cheating.

I spoke to soon yesterday - it did snow. Fortunately not for very long!

Not even sure what day it is but these are today and yesterday

Heading to the office today, gonna WFH in the afternoon.

I was told yesterday that my dream must be to loose 16 kg/2.5 stone🙈
So we've been having some kind of group discussion for new hires and I was placed in a group with 1 girl and 3 blokes, all considerably younger than me. We had to tell 3 "unlikely" things about ourselves, 2 out of which were actually true and 1 was a dream. Everyone had to guess what's true and what's your dream.
We didn't really have time to prepare and I am not the type to bother so just said similar things to what was in the example provided to us. One of the examples was about weight so I said I might have lost 16 kg (which is actually true - after giving birth to DD).
The girl in the group immediately jumped to say that it's clear that it must be my dream to loose 16 kg (well, I set up myself for failure there by bringing up this topic in the first place, didn't I), then there was silence with a bit of crickets in the background until one of the guys gently said to the girl he doubts it and my dream must be something else.

Here I am, walking around and feeling good about myself while Japanese women look at me and think "poor thing, she needs to loose a lot of weight" (it's usually older ladies that comment though because age gives them superiority). Can't say it hurt my self esteem because it didn't, but can't say I was very pleased to hear this either. 🙈

Ok I am so never going to Japan! If you lost that much weight you would be a non Japanese sized skeleton!

@Aria999 btw I weigh around 8 stone so I guess the ideal would be 5.5 stone in my case 🙈

What was her dream @toucaninjapan , to learn some manners?! Ah well, at least you know so the new office bitch is 😬 and can keep at arms length. There's always one!
I like the colours in yesterday's outfit. I shall have to experiment with that combination in my own wardrobe. I have those colours but never thought of putting them together before.

@toucaninjapan wierd but true maybe she felt awkward afterwards knowing what to say in these absurd binding sessions is a nightmare

Totally here for the warmth today in shearling lined high tops and my warmer and most favourite jumper

I like the idea of winter white, but I’m worried I’m going to manage to spill something down myself! Definitely no tomato-based food for me today.

Dry for a couple of days here, so I can wear my swishy Hobbs wool coat which my DIL encouraged me to buy. I fear it might have shrunk in some of the calamitous rain we've had!
