Face creams/moisturisers!

I'm on the hunt for a good face cream for moisturising...

My skin reacts to anything, including products labelled as sensitive and hypoallergenic etc. So at the moment I use a paraffin based cream for face and body. But it doesn't do anything for my skin - it just stops it being painful or uncomfortably dry, and I don't react to it. I'm looking for something that does this but also does give a bit of a glow or a boost or reduces wrinkles. Basically a face cream that actually makes my skin look nice!

Anybody got any recommendations? Also open to having serums and oils but I'm never sure if they are supposed to be used with a moisturiser or alone...

I think you're probably better off with what you have. If you react to everything, then play it safe. Truth is that no face cream really does more than keep you from feeling and looking dry.

You can try "slugging." That's putting a layer of vaseline on your face before bed. If you can tolerate glycerine and rosewater, put a bit of that on, first, then trap the moisture with Vaseline. You will look dewy in the morning.
