Heavy eyelids

Hi all

I have quite hooded eyelids like in this pic (this is not me it's a Google image). Does anyone know if the little sticker things I keep seeing advertised actually work? Or does anyone else have any great tips on how to make my eyes look better?

Thank you

If you Google make up for hooded eyes you’ll see Laura Mercier and Bobby brown tutorials

I have never seen the little sticker things but am pretty sure they will make you look like Barbara Cartland

Hooded eyes only a big deal if they sagging over your actual eyes, in which case save up for surgery. Ones like the pic are fine.

You have lovely eyes! Sorry, I don't have any advice, just wanted to chip in.

Little stickers are always noticeable and also fall off

Those aren't OP's eyes

No don't waste your money.

The sticker things are worth a try. I'd also consider a eye lash lift and tint. I had it done recently and people assumed I have false lashes on, but it was just my own real ones. It really opened up my eyes though.

My mum had a blepharoplasty a few years ago and they look great now and more youthful. I'm assuming I might be heading down the same path in a few years though.

Sorry OP! Should have read your post properly. Nevertheless hooded eyes like the ones in the pic are still lovely.

Helenahandkart · 22/09/2023 16:36

The thing with hooded eyes is that you can’t do eyeliner flicks any more.

They work to a degree but very fiddly don’t last and come off with makeup. I keep getting insta ads for them and they are outrageous; they used to be a few quid off eBay.

sadly the only complete solution is bleph surgery

afaloren · 22/09/2023 16:52

My mum had blepharoplasty on the NHS a few years ago. She recovered very quickly and it made a big difference.

I’m pretty sure those are a mumsnetter who posted on the blepharoplasty thread!

IME none of the stickers, creams or Botox lifts work. I tried them all before my eye
surgery. Now I don’t have to worry

Caroline hirons had a blepharoplasty and did a blog about it

ForensicFlossy · 22/09/2023 23:55

Thanks everyone, really interesting replies. I had a feeling the stickers wouldn't be great.

I know this is an old thread, but wow the results are amazing! Can I ask how much you paid please and if it was a fairly simple surgery?
