Fur gilets what do we think?

I love gilets and I'm very into the long padded ones that have been the school run uniform the past couple of years.

But what do we think of the faux fur ones? I really love them on other people but always feel a bit ridiculous in fur, not sure if they look a bit dated too.

I've had mine for years (I think it was originally from Harrods of all places and I remember it cost a fortune; really good fake fur does though) and it gets a few airings most years. I like fake fur and wear it often

As for looking 'dated' I have no idea. I imagine that depends a lot on what you wear something with rather than the item itself.

They remind me of Sienna Miller in her boho phase. But that's 20 years or so ago so maybe they're due a comeback.

I'd feel ridiculous in one I think. I can't think of a time I'd seen someone wearing one out either and thought it was stylish/ig made me want one - Even if it was styled well.

If you want to try them then maybe check out charity shops and Vinted so that you aren’t spending a fortune on something that you might tire of quickly. You can then donate it or sell it later.

Faux fur never looks ridiculous. Real fur on the other hand always looks ridiculous.

I love them, I have short one from tkmax, a midi length one from m&s sale last winter

I tried one once. I looked like Hagrid.

I think you have to be really thin to pull off wearing a faux fur gillet. They add pounds.
